On November 2, 1917, Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour wrote a letter to Baron Lionel Walter Rothschild, expressing the British government’s support for a Jewish homeland in Palestine.
2017 marks the centenary of the Balfour Declaration. But how should we mark it?
To tackle this question, Parallel Histories is sponsoring a film competition.
Our challenge to you is to make a 2 minute interactive video responding to the question 'Should Britain be praised or blamed for the Balfour Declaration?’
The competition is open to students from all schools and colleges, and the winners will receive cash prizes as well as the chance to be published. We aren't looking for any answer in particular - just thoughtful ones.

The deadline is November 2nd 2017.
